The Way Home ministry is focused primarily on being solely a work of God to heal lives broken by addictions, drugs or alcohol, according to the biblical principle of discipleship and being transformed (Romans 12:2).
- The mission addresses three key areas of transformational living
- Spiritual: spiritual development and growth as a believer and follower of Christ Jesus, a disciple.
- Physical: living responsible lives in a job and establishing financial and life goals
- Relational: rebuilding relationships with family, friends, and neighbors based on a committed loving relationship with God
The Way Home exists solely as a work of God in to transform lives in these three areas by providing a safe and clean environment for men to grow spiritually in a personal saving relationship with Christ Jesus the incarnate Son of God and providing the means and the tools to live a life that is continually being transformed by God.
A secondary purpose of The Way Home is to provide a platform to achieve these objectives as God works through the body (the church) to engage in discipleship, fellowship, and accountability. The mission focus to the church is to engage the body of believers (the church) to come together as commanded to make disciples who are being transformed thus fully the scriptural mandates from our Lord Christ Jesus.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19–20
2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2
